Bach 1½C Warburton Screw System Trumpet Top
Featuring a 17.00 mm cup diameter with a medium cup with a medium wide, not too sharp rim, and a large diameter slightly smaller than the 1C, the Bach–Warburton 1½C Top offers a comfortable feel with a medium-wide rim that is not too sharp. Its medium cup produces a clear, balanced tone with a blend of warmth and brilliance, making it well-suited for all-around playing. Designed for versatility, it delivers consistent response across all registers. The rim contour provides a balanced combination of comfort and control, supporting endurance and flexibility. Designed for use with the Warburton screw system, it allows players to pair with a variety of backbores to customize resistance, airflow, and projection to their individual playing needs.

We will modify any mouthpiece in our inventory for you to mix and match trumpet mouthpiece tops and backbores of your favorite mouthpieces. You can pair a Bach top with a Pickett Brass, Yamaha, Schilke, or even Warburton backbore.

Important Note: Your mouthpiece top and backbore should have a matching throat size.

About the Brand

Vincent Bach was a rare combination of artist and engineer. A mechanical genius and acclaimed trumpet soloist, his instruments and mouthpieces are used today in every major studio and orchestra in the world. Bach personally designed the tools and composed the plans that continue to set the high standards for making all Bach products today.

Bach trumpet mouthpieces have been designed in an orderly progression from the largest to the smallest diameters, and from the deepest to the most shallow cup, all with a choice of rim designs. Rim shape is described for each individual model. Model numbers progress numerically from model no. 1 with the largest cup diameter, to model no. 20C with the smallest cup diameter. Cup depths are notated with letters. "A" cups are the deepest; standard cups have no letter designation; progressively shallower cups are marked "B" through "F".
