Bach 10-1/2E Warburton Screw System Trumpet Top

Featuring a 15.90 mm cup diameter with a shallow cup and a medium-wide rim that is high toward the inner edge, the Bach–Warburton 10-1/2E Top offers a compact, efficient feel with excellent clarity and response. Its shallow cup produces a bright, focused tone with quick articulation and strong projection, making it well-suited for lead and commercial playing. The design enhances upper register accessibility while maintaining control and definition throughout the range. The medium-wide rim provides a comfortable and supportive feel, while the higher inner edge enhances grip and precision on the embouchure, promoting consistency and endurance during extended playing. Designed for use with the Warburton screw system, it allows players to pair with a variety of backbores to customize resistance, airflow, and projection to their individual playing needs.

We will modify any mouthpiece in our inventory to allow you to mix and match trumpet mouthpiece tops and backbores from your favorite brands. You can pair a Bach top with Pickett Brass, Yamaha, Schilke, or Warburton backbores.

Important Note: Your mouthpiece top and backbore should have a matching throat size.

About the Brand

Vincent Bach was a rare combination of artist and engineer. A mechanical genius and acclaimed trumpet soloist, his instruments and mouthpieces are used today in every major studio and orchestra in the world. Bach personally designed the tools and composed the plans that continue to set the high standards for making all Bach products today.

Bach trumpet mouthpieces have been designed in an orderly progression from the largest to the smallest diameters, and from the deepest to the most shallow cup, all with a choice of rim designs. Rim shape is described for each individual model. Model numbers progress numerically from model no. 1 with the largest cup diameter, to model no. 20C with the smallest cup diameter. Cup depths are notated with letters. "A" cups are the deepest; standard cups have no letter designation; progressively shallower cups are marked "B" through "F".
