Bach 12B Warburton Screw System Trumpet Top

Featuring a 15.20 mm cup diameter with a medium-deep cup and a broad rim that is rather flat, the Bach–Warburton 12B Top offers a compact, balanced feel with added warmth and control. Its medium-deep cup produces a full, centered tone with strong core and flexibility across registers. The broad, flatter rim provides a secure, comfortable feel on the embouchure, supporting endurance and consistent performance. Designed for use with the Warburton screw system, it allows players to pair with a variety of backbores to customize resistance, airflow, and projection to their individual playing needs.

We will modify any mouthpiece in our inventory to allow you to mix and match trumpet mouthpiece tops and backbores from your favorite brands. You can pair a Bach top with Pickett Brass, Yamaha, Schilke, or Warburton backbores.

Important Note: Your mouthpiece top and backbore should have a matching throat size.

About the Brand

Vincent Bach was a rare combination of artist and engineer. A mechanical genius and acclaimed trumpet soloist, his instruments and mouthpieces are used today in every major studio and orchestra in the world. Bach personally designed the tools and composed the plans that continue to set the high standards for making all Bach products today.

Bach trumpet mouthpieces have been designed in an orderly progression from the largest to the smallest diameters, and from the deepest to the most shallow cup, all with a choice of rim designs. Rim shape is described for each individual model. Model numbers progress numerically from model no. 1 with the largest cup diameter, to model no. 20C with the smallest cup diameter. Cup depths are notated with letters. "A" cups are the deepest; standard cups have no letter designation; progressively shallower cups are marked "B" through "F".
