Cut for Sleeves
Bob Reeves developed his sleeve system in 1973 as a method for adjusting the annulus ("gap") between the end of the mouthpiece and the beginning of the lead pipe. This allows the player to "fine tune" the playing back pressure of his/her set-up. It also allows the player to use one mouthpiece on different instruments that require a different gap.
The correct gap can only be determined through experimentation as it varies from player to player, mouthpiece to mouthpiece, and instrument to instrument. Virtually any trumpet mouthpiece can be converted to use Bob Reeves sleeves. They are available in sizes #0.5 through #7 in half sizes. A #0.5 sleeve will give you the greatest gap. A #7 is the smallest.
If you have your mouthpiece cut for sleeves, be sure to also purchase the sleeves that you need. Trumpet Sleeves.

Description
Bach #76 Warburton Screw System Trumpet Backbore
The Bach–Warburton #76 Backbore offers a very open, low-resistance feel, ideal for players seeking maximum airflow and freedom in upper register playing. The wide taper and larger throat allow for effortless high-note access and enhanced projection in solo or lead contexts, while still maintaining sufficient control for expressive phrasing. Players who favor a freer-blowing, more expansive sound will find the #76 Backbore excellent for orchestral, jazz, and commercial lead playing.
Warburton Screw System 3/8" 40 TPI Compatibility
We will modify any mouthpiece in our inventory to allow you to mix and match trumpet mouthpiece tops and backbores from your favorite brands. You can pair a Bach backbore with Pickett Brass, Yamaha, Schilke, or Warburton tops.
Important Note: Your mouthpiece top and backbore should have a matching throat size.
