Cut for Sleeves
Bob Reeves developed his sleeve system in 1973 as a method for adjusting the annulus ("gap") between the end of the mouthpiece and the beginning of the lead pipe. This allows the player to "fine tune" the playing back pressure of his/her set-up. It also allows the player to use one mouthpiece on different instruments that require a different gap.
The correct gap can only be determined through experimentation as it varies from player to player, mouthpiece to mouthpiece, and instrument to instrument. Virtually any trumpet mouthpiece can be converted to use Bob Reeves sleeves. They are available in sizes #0.5 through #7 in half sizes. A #0.5 sleeve will give you the greatest gap. A #7 is the smallest.
If you have your mouthpiece cut for sleeves, be sure to also purchase the sleeves that you need. Trumpet Sleeves.

Description
Blessing 10.5C Trumpet Mouthpiece
Featuring a 15.90 mm cup diameter with a medium cup and a medium-wide rim, the Blessing 10.5C offers a smaller, more compact feel with excellent control and efficiency. Its medium cup provides a clear, focused tone with slightly less volume than larger models like a 7C, resulting in a more concentrated sound that responds quickly and easily.
The smaller diameter enhances precision and upper register accessibility, making it especially well-suited for players who prefer a tighter, more controlled setup. The medium-wide rim offers a comfortable and secure feel on the embouchure, supporting consistency and endurance during extended playing. A versatile option, the Blessing 10.5C works well for advancing players or those looking for improved control, clarity, and ease of response in a more compact mouthpiece size.
